Start the Carnival of New Era Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week 2018 S/S Collection ended successfully

At the night of November 7, GROUNDSHOW Night--Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week Closing Ceremony & China Fashion Award Ceremony 2017 was held in the Banquet Hall of Beijing Hotel and “over the rhythm” knitting collection of the famous brand GROUND SHOW was released before the ceremony.  The awards of “Golden Top Award”, “China Top Ten Fashion Designers”, “China Top Ten Fashion Models”, “Annual Best Fashion Designer”, “Best Professional Fashion Model”, “Best Fashion Photographer”,  “Best Fashion Commentator”, Fashion Brand Award of China Fashion Week and other annual awards of China fashion award series are revealed. For now, Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week 2018 S/S Collection ended successfully.














 
 


Wang Yutao won the 21st “Golden Top Award” of China Fashion Design,Chen Wen and Zeng Fengfei were nominated for “Golden Top Award” .Chu Yan and Zeng Fengfei respectively won the award of Annual Best Female Fashion Designer and Annual Best Male Fashion Designer. 10 designers, including Yu Qianzi won the awards of “China Top Ten Fashion Designers”. Mao Chu Yu and Wang Hongyu won awards of “Annual Best Professional Fashion Model”.Quan Yajun won the award of “Best Fashion Photographer” and Liu Jiarong won the award of “Best Fashion Commentator”. B+ and other 9 brands won the Fashion Brand Awards.
 
During the 10-day event, more than 370 designers held 89 collection shows, three professional design contests and DHUB Design in 751D•PARK,the Banquet Hall of Beijing Hotel and Parkview Green. The numbers of brands and shows in this fashion week was the highest on record, showing its strong influence and attraction as China’s top international fashion platform.

The categories in the collection shows include women's wear, menswear, sportswear, casual wear, bridal dress, parent-child wear, children's wear and bags, shoes, glasses, scarves and other accessories. The coverage in the fashion industrial chain and the global influence has formed a kind of “Belt and Road” of China’s fashion.

The spectacular collection shows and the mesmerizing clothes drive the fierce pace of fashion pulse in the capital, and spread the shock to the world. In the times when the world are getting deep understanding of the contemporary Chinese fashion, the fashion week hopes to carry forward the cultural spirit that spans time and space, transcend the country and is full of eternal charm and with contemporary values, and disseminate the achievements of Chinese cultural innovation that inherits the traditional culture and promotes the spirit of the times, and combines China’s characteristics and follow the world’s trend.

As an outstanding representative of China's fashion industry and a partner of the China Fashion Award Ceremony, GROUND SHOW, making continuous progress in the development of China's fashion industry, celebrated its 20th anniversary with China Fashion Week. The 19th CPC National Congress put forward that "the socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era." This new era is also a new era for Chinese fashion and Chinese creativity to set sail again. Supported by the ever-changing Internet technology, the ever-growing demand for fashion lifestyle and the broad market brought by the Belt and Road Initiative provide a great foundation for the upgrading of China's fashion industry.

"Culture is the soul of a nation. Culture relies on the prosperity of a nation and strong culture promotes a powerful nation. "In the rise of fashion powers, culture is the embodiment of lifestyles and the spirit of creative designs. Culture builds up the new advantages of China's fashion industry, expresses China's fashion attitude to the world and enhances China’s international fashion discourse.
 
“There is no rejuvenation of the Chinese nation without cultural confidence and prosperity, there is no great”, which was embodied in the innovations of designers in this fashion week. Their innovations strongly in the original design, style shaping and cultural connotation, deformalized design philosophy, structural modeling, fabric use and decoration reflect the features of contemporary Chinese fashion, and have a perfect combination with the market demand.
 

The Chinese intangible cultural heritage ,like traditional handicraft brand of Xinjiang with local characteristics, Idili Silk, Rongchang Grass Cloth, a Chinese fashion eco textile representative, Gambiered caton GauzeSong brocade, Kesi and Miao Embroidery, and Chinese aesthetics philosophies, like Taoism, landscape scenery and lucky patterns, integrate with the modern international design styles to become the unique core of value for China’s fashion to go global in the new era. GROUND SHOW, M13, Maryma, YUDAHUA 1919 and JEFEN emphasize to express the multidimensional Chinese fashion aesthetics. The practitioners of contemporary China's outstanding fashion industry actively practice cultural self-confidence to make Chinese culture go global through fashion and creative works.


Transform creativity values


"Never forget the initial intention, absorb foreign essence and be future-oriented." Focusing on creative design, fashion promotion and brand building, China Fashion Week, as an international fashion platform, devotes itself to enhancing the international influence and voice of fashion industry, guiding the trend of mass consumption and promoting the development of creative design industry. Furthermore, it carries the important task to guide the industrial upgrading and promoting the docking of design and market.

Faced with the disruptive impact of consumer upgrades, business revolutions and technological revolutions, how to shorten the distance between creative design, technical means and the market has become a common question that every designer and brand owner is considering. GROUND SHOW, BINGCHUAN and other brands launched the "show and buy" exploratory collection mode, and YUDAHUA 1919 launched online customization. All of these efforts aim to bring zero distance between products and consumers and realize a faster value transformation of the creative market.
 
China Fashion Week promotes the linkage of industry and market through design innovations, while DHUB Design is more focused on the design transformation to the market. DHUB Design (2018 S/S) held from October 29 to November 1, gathered 160 brands and works of 227 designers from the United States, UK, France, Hong Kong and Mainland China and other countries and regions, covering casual wear, formal wear, formal dress, parent-child wear, children's wear, underwear, bridal dress and jewelry, bags, shoes, watches, glasses, household products etc. The Buyer Docking Meeting and Fashion Buyer Summit that targets buyers to facilitate the product ordering and trade fair, offered business opportunities, such as channel expansion, cross-border cooperation and technology exchange, to colleagues outside and inside the industry. In order to better promote and help refine China's fashion industry structure, the China Fashion Association Accessories Art Committee was set up during the event.

DHUB Design, coordinated the fashion shows in the fashion week, and on the creative-based fashion week stage, to build an international integrated service platform and matching the resources between exhibitors and fashion buyers, endowing the new products from the fashion shows to increase the direct-to-consumers chances, experience the value balance of business landing of designs and creativity and maximize the business potential of the original brands.

Support the young strengths

During the development of China's fashion industry, China Fashion Week becomes an important platform to encourage and support the original and promising design strengths, and also becomes the cradle to foster the growth of excellent designers in leading China fashion to the international fashion. In this fashion week, the 26th JEANSWEST Fashion Award Final, Yihua Cup National Women’s wear Design Invitational Contest 2017 Final and Qiaodan Cup 12th China Sports Wear Design Contest were held to provide a stage for discovering and showing the fashion attitude of the new era.


In particular, the new creative forces began to show themselves in this fashion week. Yu Qianzi who pursues changeable styles, Ban Xiaoxue who advocates the natural styles, Liang Yan who makes innovation in tradition and other young designers, showed their rich internationalized charm with Chinese fashion and competed with VIVIENNE TAM from the United States, Peter Dundas from Norway, Alvin Fernandez and Rebecca Patterson from Australia with their designs.


The young 20 years of age


Founded in 1997, China Fashion Week was 20 years old this year. As a typical representative of the fashion industry in China, the rapid development of China fashion in past 20 years has been presented on the stage of this fashion week. To celebrate the 20 years old fashion week, and the passionate China fashion industry for 20 years, a series of commemorative activities were held during this fashion week.


At the opening ceremony, Shang Kunyuan • 20-Year China Fashion Photography Exhibition opening ceremony was held. A total of more than 570 works were exhibited, covering 20 years of outstanding fashion art photography, commercial photography and magazine photography.  The Special Contribution Award, Promotion Award, and Most Influential Photographer Award of Shang Kunyuan • 20-Year China Fashion Photography Exhibition were issued.  As one of the commemoration, the work exhibition of “Golden Top Award” of China Fashion Design was held to exhibit the 19 winners’ designs from 1997 to this year.

 

Keeping the same pace with China's social and economic development, China Fashion Week, for the past 20 years, has been advancing with the Times, advocating the concept of "design leads life" and setting up the internationalized professional platform. It becomes the most authoritative and comprehensive display window and foreign exchange field during the rapid development of China's fashion industry. For the future, China Fashion Week will continue to actively make innovation, focus on creative design, fashion marketing, and brand construction, and build China's fashion discourse system with international vision. It will follow the development of era, and work with all parties to devote to achieving the cultural self-confidence of fashion!

Since it was founded in 1997, China Fashion Week has been annually held in two sessions reflecting the seasonal themes of Spring and Summer, Autumn and Winter respectively. The event is consisted of special collections, professional contests, special exhibitions, theme forum and professional evaluations. After 20 years of development, China Fashion Week has become the top domestic platform for professional dissemination of new designs, technology and products such as fashionable clothing, accessories, bags, and makeup modeling, making it a prestigious international platform for well-known domestic and foreign brands and designers to promote their image, display originality, and obtain widespread publicity.
